With the 5th Annual End of the Year Party behind us it is a reminder of yet another successful Bartlett Lacrosse Season in the books.
We fielded our first Varsity team in IHSLA Coached by Mike Fernandez and Mike Steichen with a very young Varsity squad delivering an impressive 7-7 season with numerous close losses and advancing to the play-offs. The JV team coached by first year coaches Chris Lobosco and Vince Trombetta ended with an 8-5 winning record while adding our second JV Division Championship at Sticks and Stones. The Frosh/Soph team coached by Todd Nanna brought home a 7-5 record.
The Youth program doubled in size this year growing from three teams to six, as a member of IBLA we adopted The US Lacrosse guidelines of U15 (1 team), U13 (2 teams), U11 (2teams) and U9 (1 team). New coach Vito Diperte led the U15 team to a 10-0 undefeated season, U13 Blue coached by Jack Mauro went 11-2, U13 Green coached by new coach Rich Montbriand went 5-4, U11 Blue coached by Matt Baker went 8-1, U11 Green coached by new coach Todd Sietmann went 10-3 and they won their conference championship, new coach Dan Roden coached the U9 to a 1-8 season with all new players. We started in 2008 with 25 players and have now grown to 200 players in just 5 seasons.
America’s Fastest Game on Two Feet is America’s Fastest Growing Sport.
GOTTA LOVE IT!!!!!!!
